Instagram Competition – Terms and Conditions

1. How to Enter
1.1 To enter, you must follow StJohnsDentalPractice's Instagram account (@info.stjohnsdental). 1.2 Entry is open to the first 100 unique followers of the account from the date this competition is launched. 1.3 Once the account reaches 100 followers, entries will close and no further entries will be accepted. 1.4 No purchase is necessary to enter. 1.5 Only one entry per person. Multiple or fake accounts used to gain entry will be disqualified.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to UK residents only, aged 18 and over. 2.2 Entrants under the age of 18 are not eligible to win. If a winner is selected and is later found to be under 18, their entry will be void and a new winner will be drawn in accordance with Section 4. 2.3 Employees of StJohnsDentalPractice, their immediate family members, and anyone professionally connected to the competition are not eligible to enter. 2.4 By entering, you confirm that the information provided (including your age) is accurate and truthful.
3. The Prize
3.1 The prize is one (1) free dental hygiene appointment, worth £79. 3.2 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other alternative, in whole or in part. 3.3 The prize must be booked and used within 6 months of the winner being notified. StJohnsDentalPractice reserves the right to withdraw the prize if it is not claimed and booked within this period. 3.4 The prize is subject to appointment availability at StJohnsDentalPractice. 3.5 Any costs associated with attending the appointment (e.g. travel) are the responsibility of the winner.
4. Winner Selection
4.1 The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entrants once the Instagram account reaches 100 followers. 4.2 There will be one (1) winner. 4.3 The winner will be notified via Instagram direct message and/or announced on StJohnsDentalPractice's Instagram account within 7 days of the draw. 4.4 The winner must respond to the notification within 30 days, providing any information reasonably requested to confirm eligibility. Failure to respond within this time may result in forfeiture of the prize, and a new winner may be selected. 4.5 If a selected winner is found to be under 18 or otherwise ineligible under these Terms, their win will be void and an alternative winner will be drawn at random from the remaining eligible entrants.
5. Age Verification / ID
5.1 StJohnsDentalPractice reserves the right to request valid photographic ID (e.g. passport, driving licence) to confirm a winner's age at the time of attending their appointment. 5.2 If the winner is unable to provide satisfactory proof of age when requested, StJohnsDentalPractice reserves the right to refuse the appointment and withdraw the prize.
6. General Conditions
6.1 StJohnsDentalPractice reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, or who is found to be acting fraudulently or in a manner that undermines the fair running of the competition. 6.2 StJohnsDentalPractice reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, without liability. 6.3 StJohnsDentalPractice's decision on all matters relating to the competition, including winner selection, is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Instagram Disclaimer
7.1 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. 7.2 Any questions, comments, or complaints about the competition must be directed to StJohnsDentalPractice, not Instagram.
8. Data Protection
8.1 Personal data (such as Instagram username and, where applicable, contact details or ID information) collected as part of this competition will be used solely for the purposes of administering the competition and contacting the winner. 8.2 Data will be handled in accordance with StJohnsDentalPractice's Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. It will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without consent, and will be retained only as long as necessary.
9. Liability
9.1 StJohnsDentalPractice accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, or not received due to technical issues, including issues with Instagram itself. 9.2 To the extent permitted by law, StJohnsDentalPractice shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in this competition or acceptance of the prize.
10. Governing Law
10.1 This competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
By entering this competition, entrants confirm they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
